Well we headed up to the trailer Saturday afternoon for the night. It was pretty quiet in there. We are going up for Thanksgiving weekend (2 weeks) as they have halloweenweekend! Everyone decorates their trailers/tents, etc. and the kids dress up and do the trick or treat thing. We went last year and I bought candy for 150 kids and ran out!! They also have a potluck dinner and the owners of the campground make a turkey and mashed potatoes and everyone brings a side dish..it was delicious last year and am looking forward to it again this year...gets me out of making Thanksgiving dinner!
On our way back yesterday we stopped at Michaels and I ended up buying this pattern and some wool to try and knit a sock monkey...I don't know if I can do it but I am up for the challenge!
With my girls leaving next month, I have to try and look on the bright side of things. My son Dillon will now get his own room which he is so happy about and now it frees up one more room! My craft room!!!! Right now my office/craft room is just off the laundry room and I am feeling claustrophobic...I have a tiny space to "craft"and I am going to move everything up to the spare bedroom...now what to paint the walls like, how to decorate, etc.
Someone sent me this link a while ago and have kept it because if I ever win the lottery.....I want one of these!!!

Empy Nest x2!
Wow! I can't believe my two daughters are both moving out next month! (insert sad face!) I really don't know how to feel, I am happy for them but at the same time I feel depressed, lonely, etc. They are not only my daughters but they are my best friends and I am going to miss them terribly. I have been like Cleopatra, the queen of DENIAL but as I went into my daughter's room last night and saw all her boxes packed up, it really hit me! I can remember like it was yesterday when they were just little girls and I can't believe they have grown up so fast into wonderful women! Good luck to both of you and you guys better call me all the time and visit all the time. I love you!
Until next time...xx00Debbie

Log Cabin Blanket
I am working on this blanket and it is taking longer than I anticipated. It is a winter project and now that it is getting colder, I have brought it out to work on from time to time. This is the first time I have ever done anything like this as well. It is a log cabin blanket and you always start with a red square in the middle to symbolize the heart of the home. I am using Mission Falls 1824 Wool and I absolutely LOVE this wool.

Owls Again?
I don't know what the fascination is with owls but here is another one. I made this dishcloth for Jamie of http://inspiredmess.blogspot.com/ as a thank-you for her on-line art journal class I took. Jamie did this class for free and I was so inspired so I just wanted to say thank-you....so thanks Jamie!

Owl Hat
Okay I have finally finished the owl hat! I am kind of liking how it turned out. I would model it but for some reason I have to use my cell phone to load the pics...have to get another card for my camera. Let me know what you think?

Cooper
We got a new puppy on Saturday. I have been having puppy fever for a couple of months now and finally broke down and got one! Meet Cooper. He is a Maltese/Shitzu mix. We have had him for 4 days now and no accidents (knock on wood!). Our 7 year old Golden Retriever Reese is afraid of him right now. He has been keeping me busy for the last few days so haven't done any crafting or knitting. Hopefully, will be able to finish up some projects over the next few days.
Until next time xxoo Debbie
