Our New Tin Can Cottage!

Well this is what I have been up to for the past few days! I guess we aren't pimping out our old trailer? Mark has won this battle...LOL!!!! We found this on kijiji Sunday night and it was a deal we couldn't pass up!!! Now boy oh boy do we have our work cut out for us this weekend!!! We have to tear down the old add-a-room and make room for the old trailer to be hauled out and the new (new to us...1990) to be brought in!!!

It's actually quite exciting...we are getting it delivered to the campground on July 9th so we have a week to get everything ready!!!

After the earthquake yesterday and tornado warnings last night and waking up to thunderstorms this morning, I thought I would post a little fun! My daughter sent me this yesterday and I cracked right up...How fun is this??? LOL

100th POST!!!!

It is my 100th post!!! I was actually going to have a giveaway for my 100th post but instead because I have been suffering with a headache the last couple of days that I can't shake, so I haven't had a chance to make anything exciting, I am going to have the giveaway on my 1 year anniversary of my blog next month! Stay tuned...LOL

Okay so about an hour ago, I was laying on the couch watching my soap and trying to nurse my headache when all of a sudden the couch starting shaking??? I was thinking that my big golden retriever "Reese" was leaning up against the couch and scratching or something but when I looked, he was across the room? I find out we had an earthquake...WOW!!! Apparently it was 5.5 and originated in Quebec and felt all the way to Toronto!!

It is exam week here!! I can't wait until Monday (no more setting alarm clocks for two months!). As part of Dillon's exam today, I had to go to the school today at 10:00 while his group cooked for a few people. The theme was Greek. We had Greek salad (YUMMMMY), Greek pizza (interesting) and Baklava (YUMMMMY)! Wasn't sure how salad would sit at 10:00 but so far so good...hehehehe...Good job Dillon!

Just thought I would throw this in with the mix. I am trying to make little " monster pillows".... needs a little more work I think...hehehehe...

I am absolutely loving my granny stripe. Once you get past the initial first row, it is clear sailing. You can just pick it up and do it whenever you get a few minutes...!!

Well the votes are in and the winner is.....drumroll please...hehehehe...everyone seemed to like the second one better and after careful consideration, I thought I should go with the larger font so it doesn't blob all together as I get older..hehehehe

It really wasn't that bad...a couple of times the pain shot right up and tingled my arm!

Busy Weekend!

I got Happy Mail on Friday!!! I love everything....thanks so much Julie...I hope you get my goodies soon!
Well my son had his prom for Grade 12 on Friday night...wow...I can't believe it! I was at the Sugarland concert so I told Mark to take lots of pics for me...of course I am going to spare you all the pics he took! lol

He went with his two buddies and this is how they arrived...hehehe

My son wore a tuxedo t-shirt, blazer, black dress pants and high cut black sneakers...LOL!

Mallory and I on the Go Train on our way to Toronto! We were trying to figure out the last time I was on the train and it was 13 years ago!

We stopped at the Pickle Barrel for dinner. Yummy food!!!

Having a drink before we head over to the concert!

In our seats...thank goodness...I don't think I have walked so much in forever!!!

Yah...Sugarland!!! George Canyon opened up for them and it was a great night! Thanks Mallory for the wonderful day/night!!

Granny Stripe!

Let's think outside the box today. What about a granny stripe? I absolutely love this blog. I love going on her blog just to look at all the pretty colors of yarn she chooses! You can find the pattern on her blog.

She suggests doing a little test strip first so now I am off to start a full size afgan!

Hooked on Crocheting!

Yeah!!! I got my Great Granny Swap squares today!!! How great do they look!!! I even got a pair of granny square earrings and a granny square necklace!!!! I know exactly what I am going to do with them....I am going to make a "granny square curtain" for my entrance into my craft room....like a beaded curtain but only with granny squares!!!!

Well I am really liking the crochet thing! As much as I am a knitter, crocheting goes so much quicker and I can make my own patterns out of my head. I am still fairly new at it but it is so much fun!

So I have started out with an oval type of shape.....

added two little triangle ears.....

and how cute is this little guy...I have named him Winston...hehehehe

I have added him to my wrist warmers. He will be available in my shop tomorrow (I am adding a few new things to the shop so make sure you stop by tomorrow and check them out). You can buy him as is and add him to anything you like or he will be available as wrist warmers! The possibilities will be endless...hehehehe.
