HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!!

Happy Halloween Everyone! I hope everyone has a safe night. Well I can't believe it was only 4 of us carving pumpkins last night? Too many changes for me this year...LOL...Well I don't think the boys are going out this year and as we have 0 kids that show up, we went to blockbuster last night and got 3 scary movies for tonight. We are going to sit in the dark and watch them...scary stuff!

Cutie Cupcakes!

I love cupcakes, anything to do with cupcakes so when I came across this pattern, of course I had to do it. I worked on these little sweets all summer and finally put them together and glued on all the sprinkles...

On another note, I finally finished all 50 invitations for my mom's anniversary!!! Thank goodness! Now I have more time to craft....LOL...

Crochet Christmas Trees!

Wow...I can't believe it's been this long since I blogged. I have been so busy! I am still working on those anniversary invitations with the expectation I will have them out in the mail by Friday!

I went to the CreativFestival in Toronto on Sunday and it was the bomb! There was so much to see, unfortunately, we couldn't take any pictures but I did end up buying a couple of funky balls of yarn and a few stamps.

Well I have managed to crochet a few of these little christmas trees up to make a scarf...they are so quick! I am going to be gluing the little pompoms on for decorations and haven't decided whether to cut out felt stars or just put a yellow pompom on the top? Then you just sew them all together and presto...a christmas tree scarf! I will post a pic when it is done!

A Knitted bag for my knitting!

How cute is this bag? I went to Value Village (Thrift Store) with my neighbor last week and I found an old Reader's Digest Knitting book with a pattern for this knitting bag. It had bamboo handles but I thought how cute would it be to use knitting needles. It took me about 3 hours to knit so now that I am finished with that, on to finishing the sock monkey and my mom's anniversary invitations...LOL!

HAPPY 65TH MOM!!

Happy Birthday Mom! We all headed to Kelsey's for dinner Saturday night. There were 16 of us...we had a great time! My uncle and his wife showed up which was great as I haven't seen them since my mom's 60th so 5 years ago! It amazes me how long we go between seeing our relatives unless it is a wedding/funeral/birthday. I think we need to plan a family reunion in the summer every year just to touch base with everyone and see how they are doing!

PS...Not doing too well today....Tiffany moved out yesterday and I am a little down in the dumps today. Hopefully it will get better...I will be seeing her Saturday at the trailer for Thanksgiving! A few more weeks and Mallory moves out...I will be a basket case...gotta keep myself busy!! LOL...maybe knit myself into a frenzy and open up an Etsy shop?

Sock monkey update!

Two posts in one day! WOW! I just thought I would update you with the sock monkey situation. It is coming along pretty good although as I am reading ahead on the instructions, I'm not so sure....will keep you updated! Wish me luck!

This is the back of my card. I ordered this stamp from Elzybells a while ago and think she is the cutest thing ever!

Well my mom and her husband are celebrating their 25th wedding anniversary this December and we are having a party! I have the hall booked already and I decided to make the invitations...what was I thinking?? I thought maybe 20 tops only to find out I have to make 40!! I am thinking I should get them out in the mail by mid October (as the party is December 5th), so I guess we know what I'll be doing for the next little while! I have a bit of an addiction for stamping bella stamps and use them whenever I get a chance! Sorry the pictures didn't turn out very good this time around but you get the idea. I was afraid they looked too much like a wedding invitation but with the silver and all I thought what the heck!

I hope everyone has a great weekend! I have a suprise 50th birthday party to go to tomorrow which I can probably stay an hour for, then my mom's 65th birthday party at 6:00 and then on Sunday, I have to move my youngest daughter out of the house!! :( I am sure some tears will be shed!
